Longline Handling for Flight Risk, Reactive or Nervous Dogs

This is the technique I use to make longline walks easy and stress free while helping your dog learn to check in and respond to lead pressure, and to prevent tangles or hard stops.
This technique is great for flight risk dogs, nervous or reactive dogs, and dogs on limited exercise.

Clips shown are from various walks with nervous 'flight risk' street dog, Willow, from day 2 with me to day 30. She is on a combination of harness, and martingale collar as safety is my primary concern.

I am using a Landela Dogs 10m BioThane Longline that is 'Medium Weight' (12mm wide) with a detachable handle.

This coiling and handling method is great in lots of different scenarios but is not the only way to use a longline.
