Sacred Marriage, Hieros Gamos Traditions, Alchemy as Expansion of the Christian Story.

The Sacred Marriage is an alchemical, mythical, and yogic representation the unity of the world. It can be found in various cultures, including mystical Christianity. C.G. Jung was convinced that the experience of the sacred marriage of Matter and Mind was required of anyone who wants to fully understand what it really means to be human. Marie-Louise von Franz argued that alchemy could be an expansion and revival of the Christian story.
