5. Kathy Bates

The veteran actress was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer which she beat in two thousand and three (2003). Nine years later, she discovered that she had cancer once again, this time in her breasts. Originally, Kathy decided not to open up about her battle with cancer. She told the DailyMail, “Now if I go through it again, I think I would be a lot more open about it… I would be more courageous next time.”
