So this week I wanted to give an idea of a small change that most intermediate kayakers can make to free up alot of brain power and help them focus on where their kayak is going, how it is getting there and how it is interacting with the water. A great way to do that is limiting your inputs and the case in point is quitting your nose clip. Whilst I do think they are a great tool for learning I think they become a bit of a crutch for most people and there is alot of thinking power used up thinking about if they are on or off or what will happen if they fall off. Imagine what you could do by redirecting all of that brain power into reading the water ahead of you and focusing on how your boat was going to get you there.
