991.1 History...
The Porsche 911 991.1 Carrera was in production from 2011 til' 2015. It was the last to feature a naturally aspirated engine, blending modern comfort and technology with classic throttle response and a thrilling flat-six soundtrack. While the switch to turbocharging wasn't as monumental as the move to water cooling in 1998, these models represent a pivotal moment in 911 evolution.
