Our anesthesiology services include:

World-class anesthesiologists: Experienced anesthesiology physicians tailor each phase of surgical preparation and treatment to the needs of the individual patient.

Talented CRNA team: Advanced practice nurses work with our anesthesiologists and are responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients during surgeries and other medical procedures.

Proper anesthesia for individual needs: The anesthesiologists use several types of medications to achieve the proper level of sedation and/or pain relief. We employ cutting-edge anesthesia techniques including regional nerve blocks, as well as general and local anesthetics.

The Department of Anesthesiology aims to promote an environment of academic excellence, providing training and oversight to the anesthesia residency program and the medical students of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, as well as to the nurse anesthesia residents from Hofstra/Northwell’s Graduate Program in Nurse Anesthesia.
