This presentation introduces my article that emphasizes the crucial role of ethical considerations in driving progress in the field of Bioinformatics and related disciplines such as Biology, Computer Science, and Mathematics. The article highlights the necessity of ethical norms to safeguard individual privacy, ensure fair access to data, promote data integrity and reproducibility, and responsibly deploy algorithms.

We present a study analyzing reports of ethics in Bioinformatics research using BeagleTM, a text analysis software, focusing on articles from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). We underscore the importance of integrating ethics into research practices to ensure responsible and sustainable advancement. Our results call for improved awareness and practice of ethical considerations among research teams to contribute to a trustworthy and inclusive scientific ecosystem for the benefit of society.
