The Pacific Grove Public Library staff failed to accommodate this 56 year old human in 3 ways on August 26th 2025:

1. I set up nearly 2 dozen books to film a post #autism conference video in an unused area with No notice of staff training: then just as I started to film 20 people arrived 6 feet away. The affect on my nervous system, in fact, a significant portion of my nearly 3 hours is on film.

My #autisticsavant expression was derailed and curtailed for ~30 minutes

2. I asked to be able to leave the assembled books for an hour to go rest. Told they would reshelve if I left library.

3. Pushed myself past biological tolerances working to stay alive and save the lives of 2 #autistic beings - me and my 15.5 year old American Eskimo - Zanzi and the bathroom key was not where it has been stored at the reference desk for years. I had to walk into the kids room where I will always face sensory overwhelm ~ on the verge of meltdown I need moments of #sensoryrelief to recharge.

After those moments and biological relief, I turned on this documentary.

4.5 years I have lived without access to a bathroom in the US of Hypocrisy. #inhumane #unacceptable

Not just for me but for all humans in this nation - give my people non-locked bathroom privileges.

Especially vulnerable and sick humans become stressed and traumatized by social codes and rules made without the slightest concern for actual human functioning.
