Описание к видео Collaborative Portraits for Kids, Teachers and Parents

This video was created to teach elementary school children about the art of portraiture. Instructions for creating a collaborative portrait of their teacher included at the end.

Supplies needed: It was a little bit complicated getting ready for this project. We asked all of the teachers to submit a head shot, high quality, just the shoulders up. Then we cropped each portrait to 18 X 24 and converted each portrait to drawing style using PicMonkey. Next, we asked a local print shop to print each portrait on white, 18x24 in paper. They used a blue-print printing machine. Next we used yard sticks to draw a grid of 24 sections on the back of each portrait. We numbered the sections, and used a paper cutter to divide up each portrait into 24 pieces. We separated each divided portrait into Ziploc baggies so the pieces wouldn't get mixed up. Next, we gave each classrooms colored pencils, had them color the pieces from their baggie and then used scrap book sticky squares to attach the sections in numbered order onto an 18x24 piece of black paper. Whew!
