Oh my word...you guys, this is ridiculous! We planted about 5 pounds of potatoes (   • Did You Say Planting Potatoes In Cardboard...  ) and got about 4 pounds back. After the shock, I started wondering which of these things were the problem...
*Too much heat and drought
*Rabbits nesting under the straw
*Black fabric under the boxes retaining too much water when it was watered
*Other animals digging and looking for food since they are far away from the house

I just don't know. What do you think? I am open to your suggestions. Mark decided next year we will plant 3 different ways and be "scientific" about the data. Here are his suggestions...
*In boxes on fabric
*In boxes not on fabric
*In the ground [or in a mound of dirt and straw ; )]
