Israelis in Jerusalem on Wednesday (February 5) welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump's takeover plan for the Gaza Strip, though they questioned how it can be implemented.

Trump suggested the resettling of Gaza's Palestinians elsewhere and take over the coastal territory to create a "Riviera of the Middle East."
Trump unveiled his surprise plan without providing specifics, at a joint press conference on Tuesday evening (February 4) with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In Tel Aviv, massive billboards showing Trump's photo with the writing ''Thank you Mr. President' where presented on sky scrapers and other buildings across the city.

The shock move drew swift condemnation from regional heavyweight Saudi Arabia and Turkey and Palestinian organizations.
