Project 2025 is an unprecedented threat to democracy, equality, and religious freedom in America. And that threat is very real.

That’s why Americans United is sharing the story of Liz and Gabe Rutan-Ram, a Jewish couple in Knox County, Tenn. Liz and Gabe were denied the chance to adopt a child in Florida by a state-funded foster care agency – solely because Liz and Gabe are Jewish. After trying to provide a loving, stable home for this child, they were subjected to outrageous and unacceptable religious discrimination.

As Gabe Rutan-Ram explains in this new video, “If Project 2025 can come for us, it can come for anyone.”
