Welcome to the 1997 season of the Ultimate F1 Career – the series where we rewrite Formula 1 history from 1995 all the way to the modern day!

In this universe, the journey of Joe Hannard begins in the 1997 season, driving for the brand-new Prost Grand Prix team alongside Olivier Panis. Taking the seat that would have belonged to Shinji Nakano, Joe returns to F1 after missing out on the 1996 season, racing against the likes of Michael Schumacher, Jacques Villeneuve, Mika Häkkinen, Jean Alesi, and many more legends of the sport.

We’ll be using the modern-day points system to bring consistency across every single race from 1995 right through to the present day. This means every Grand Prix counts towards an all-time, career-spanning championship table, creating a truly unique look at how Joe Hannard’s alternate career develops alongside the real-world F1 greats.

Episode 1 kicks off the 1997 season opener, with Prost entering its first-ever Formula 1 campaign. Can Joe handle the pressure of competing against world champions straight away? How will he compare to his highly rated teammate Panis? And what surprises will the opening race of this rewritten history throw at us?

Strap in for the start of a legendary journey that will span hundreds of races, multiple decades, and an epic battle for a place among the all-time greats of Formula 1.
