"The Strategic Imperatives of Digitizing the Dollar," pre-recorded during The Digital Dollar Project and Atlantic Council's convening on "Exploring Central Bank Digital Currency: Pathways to International Standards." Chris Giancarlo, Co-founder of the Digital Dollar Project, will provide opening remarks and Angie Lau of Forekast News will moderate the discussion. The discussion panel will include:

They will explore the pressing need to modernize our financial infrastructure and how a digitally represented dollar could fit into existing and future policy frameworks. They will also examine how innovation from the private sector could inform the development of a digital dollar. Adding to this, the panel will reflect on the outcomes of the Regulated Liability Network (RLN) US Proof of Concept, which was published on July 6. This PoC indicated that RLN could be a vital component in reshaping the global dollar payment system, compliant with existing laws and compatible with current shared ledger platforms.
