Hemlock Village

Описание к видео Hemlock Village

Settled on June 15, 1869 as Coaldale, but established as Hemlock on July 15, 1872. The village was named after a grove of hemlock trees that grew near the original town site. It was a robust coal mining town at its peak population. A flood in 1927 caused some the houses and building to come off their foundation. Hemlock post office closed in the early 2000's.

The gas station in the video is actually Fitzer Service Station, my apologies for getting the name wrong. It began operation in 1921 and stayed in operation till 1988. The original building burned down in 1935.
