Georges St-Pierre - Nipple Tweak. Those that delve deeper into the world of MMA than most people will know that entire training camps can develop their own strange rituals that many fighters follow. One of the strangest is the pre-fight nipple tweak, something that many have done, but most famously, Georges St-Pierre did it. The ritual is simple and has had a few explanations over the years. Obviously, it’s a quick tweak of the nipples before a fight. Some say it has to do with calming nerves, some say it helps to connect one to the body, and some say it’s just because MMA fighters are weird. Jon Jones - One Week Of Partying. Jon Jones used to have a fairly self-destructive pre-fight ritual that he seems to have gotten past. He’s admitted that for a week leading up to a fight, he would go fairly wild with partying, something that most MMA fighters would probably avoid like the plague. Despite the nature of the ritual, it clearly didn’t impact Jones’ performance all that much.
