One of my aims is to create a garden with year-round colour and interest, so as days start getting shorter and cooler during autumn it's time to plant patio pots and flower beds with hardy shrubs, perennials and seasonal bedding that look their best through autumn and winter.

This video introduces a range of my favourite plants and shows how to plant a large patio pot with a colourful combination that will look god right through until late spring.
