Nakamichi 480 Part 3 - Capstan Motor Problem Solving

We're not quite done with my high hours Nakamichi 480. Despite the head condition actually being quite decent for the mileage it has on it, this machine will not hold a steady playback speed. It's fluctuating by as much as 100Hz, which is not good.

Today, we're going to try to find out if it's the motor controller causing it to vary as much as it is and either rebuild the motor or entirely replace it. The control motor is already deadspotting again, so all three of these motors are likely at or near end of life.
