Anmol, an eight-year-old buffalo weighing over 1,500 kilograms, has become the centerpiece of the Pushkar International Animal Fair in Ajmer, Rajasthan, captivating visitors with her impressive size and pedigree. Valued at a staggering Rs 23 crore, Anmol is owned by a dairy farmer from Haryana who has no intention of selling her despite the high price tag. Many attendees were astonished by her characteristics, as Anmol hails from the pure Murrah breed, known for its exceptional milk production, with her calves yielding between 18 to 20 kilos of milk from their first days of lactation. The fair has provided a platform for showcasing Anmol, highlighting not just her value but also the significance of quality livestock in the dairy industry.
