স্বর্গের প্রবেশদ্বার যেখানে থেকে তীর্থযাত্রীরা তিন দিন কৈলাস পরিক্রমা শুরু করেন। পরিক্রমা, যার অর্থ পবিত্র স্থানের চারপাশে একটি একক বৃত্ত সার্কিট তৈরি করা। কৈলাশ ওরফে গ্যাং রিনপোচ কৈলাস রেঞ্জের একটি চূড়া (এটি তিব্বতের ট্রানশিমালয়ের অংশ)। এটি এশিয়ার দীর্ঘতম কয়েকটি নদীর উত্সের নিকটে অবস্থিত: সিন্ধু নদী, সুতলজ নদী, ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদ এবং কর্ণালী নদী।এটি চার ধর্মের মধ্যে একটি পবিত্র স্থান হিসাবে বিবেচিত: বন, বৌদ্ধ, হিন্দু ধর্ম এবং জৈন ধর্ম।পর্বতটি মানসরোবর এবং রাক্ষস তাল হ্রদের নিকটে অবস্থিত। হিন্দু ধর্ম অনুসারে, অজ্ঞতা এবং মায়া ধ্বংসকারী দেবতা শিব এখানে বাস করেন যেখানে তিনি তাঁর স্ত্রী পার্বতীর সাথে চির ধ্যানমগ্ন অবস্থায় বসবাস করেন |
