(FAREWELL) Singapore MRT C651 EMU 221 going into the scrapyard

Filmed on 4 October 2023 (a Wednesday evening), 1934 to 2028 using an LG G5 phone.

This particular trainset before it met its fate, often had issues with its pickup, meaning that it struggled to accelerate normally when departing stations.

I did not manage to catch this train while it had slow pickup, but from others' videos of riding this train during its final days, you can hear the motor sound being somewhat draggier than normal.
Apparently there were some rumors saying that although Bishan Depot managed to fix its pickup after it had went to NSL, it returned to EWL encountering even more issues, hence it was withdrawn quickly and sent for scrap barely 1 month after it had these issues.

Last run on the [Red] North-South Line: TRN 407 Full Day (replaced 687/688) on 5 September 2023.
Transferred to the East-West Line on 5 September 2023 as Late Night TRN 350 to replace 031/032 also on 5 September 2023.
Last run on the [Green] East-West Line: TRN 129 AM peak (Swapped with 003/004 from AM Slot 124 to AM Slot 129, before getting replaced by 527/528 for the very last time.) on 6 September 2023.
Officially decommissioned on 8 September 2023.
