While there are more than 61 million adults with disabilities in the United States, only 21.3% of people with disabilities are employed – a stark contrast to the 65.4% of people without disabilities who are employed. Within the philanthropic sector, CHANGE Philanthropy’s 2022 Diversity Among Philanthropic Professionals Report found that people with disabilities working in philanthropy increased from 6.3% in 2018 to 23.1% in 2022.
