Whether you believe that it was Aristotle or St. Ignatius Loyola of the Jesuit Order who first declared, “Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man,” there is no disagreement that we are programmed from an early age to see and act in a world construed by our greatest teachers. As we mature and begin to experience the world for ourselves, though, we quickly learn that all is not as it was made out to be. We feel ill-prepared to navigate our trials and tribulations. Mark Arcuri is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since before the publication of his first book, A Life Aligned: The Journey to Allowing the Magic in Your Life in 2007, Mark has spread a message of hope and reconciliation to all corners of North America through trainings, presentations, and teaching in corporate, community, academic, and non-secular settings. Ever seeking to transform established norms, Mark found a home in integrative practice, which has allowed him to address emotional wellbeing from a biopsychosocialspiritualenvironmental perspective. In addition to his therapy and coaching practice, he is faculty in the PsyD Behavioral Health Leadership program at Walden University. He also collaborates with the Departamento Regional de Bioingeniería, Tecnológico De Monterrey in Querétaro, MX with published volumes describing essential oils production, applications, and health benefits, and medicinal plants for the treatment of metabolic disorders. Mark counts among his greatest blessings his grandmother, Rose, who taught him the importance of living from a place of authenticity no matter the feared consequences. Indeed, in these concerning times, there is no greater journey than to go into the sometimes-dark depths of one’s soul where authenticity and its keys to resilience reside.
