loneliness is empty like deep space

Описание к видео loneliness is empty like deep space

There’s one sure way to avoid being left by other people; leave them first.

Cowboy Bebop is a classic and loved 90s sci-fi anime in the same class as Trigun or Evangelion. Directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, it follows three bounty hunter characters (Spike, Jet, and Faye) in a space western as they come together and fall apart. Despite its sometimes crazy nature, Cowboy Bebop carries a theme of loneliness throughout, discussing the importance of vulnerability and communication through those great characters. While Jet and Spike each add to this, Faye Valentine forms one of the best examples across her arc (namely the episodes Jupiter Jazz, My Funny Valentine, Speak Like a Child, and Hard Luck Woman). She struggles to overcome her past, preventing her from embracing the present in whole, and the vulnerability of her situation keeps her at arms lengths from all connection, running away before she can be hurt. This is because human beings are inherently uncertain; our relationships bring value to life, but also doubt and constant worry about their true feelings, or if those feelings may sour over time or be ripped away by tragedy. The only certainty is change; so how do we trust others? Today, we’ll explain this lonely theme, analyzing and discussing how it meshed with this classic 90s anime, answering questions like “who is Faye Valentine” and “what’s her story?”
