Costly AC Sheds On Badadanda: A Waste Of ₹7 Crore As Infrastructure Lies Unused

Over ₹7 crore was spent by the previous government to construct AC sheds and independent barricades on Bada Danda, Puri. This included breaking down a part of the Shri Jagannath Temple’s office ground floor to install the AC setup, which alone cost over ₹1 crore. =. However, within just five months, these installations were dismantled for Rath Yatra, and after the temple’s four gates were opened, the AC sheds became redundant. Now, these unused materials are deteriorating, with social activists criticizing the former government for its lack of foresight.
