Bonnie and Annie Paine - 'On Out' ::: Second Story Garage

Описание к видео Bonnie and Annie Paine - 'On Out' ::: Second Story Garage

Bonnie Paine and her sister Annie play Bonnie's song "On Out" during their session at the Second Story Studios at the Boulder Daily Camera offices in Boulder on December 30, 2012.

Sisters Bonnie and Annie Paine have been playing music together since they were kids growing up in Tahlequah, Okla., where in their youth they performed with revered fiddler Randy Crouch. Bonnie is best known as a member of the Nederland new-folk band Elephant Revival while Annie plays bass with Meandering Orange in Oklahoma. Annie was visiting Colorado during the holidays, and the sisters swung by the Second Story Garage studio to tape a session for us.

They provided some of the most delicate music the studio has heard. Bonnie’s voice is a haunting instrument that exposes emotions in raw aural form. From the moment she began to sing, the studio took on a hushed, sanctuary-like atmosphere. She can sing just about any lyric and make it sound profound. She played guitar in a restrained style that matched her vocal delivery, and Annie supplied a subtle bass accompaniment. It was a real family session — the Paine sisters brought their father, Michael, along with them to the studio.
