This high-speed assembly machine is a great example of the Kinemetrix approach to automation.

A custom linear transfer moves parts fast while keeping the machine compact. Flex-feeding with vision & robots accommodated the customer’s part mix, allowing 1 machine to build 16 different models, each with up to 12 components. The speed of the Fanuc SCARA robots gave us very fast pick and placement of parts. Process monitoring during fastening is combined with machine vision inspection to produce quality assemblies.
