Elements of the building's design will honor the Blickensderfer family history. Principal attorney Michael Blickensderfer's great-great-uncle George Blickensderfer started Blickensderfer Typewriting Company, and invented the lightest portable typewriter in 1909 and the first electric typewriter in 1902, building the best-selling brand of its time. Several antique typewriters have been acquired for display in the office.

Art created by Dana Blickensderfer, the firm's director of marketing and public relations (and Michael's youngest daughter), will adorn the walls, along with artwork depicting elements of typewriters.
