The new 2024 Toyota C-HR is a captivating supercoupe that stands out with its aggressive and sporty design. The front end is a striking feature, highlighted by sleek LED headlights that automatically adjust their beams, reminiscent of the Prius and bZ4X. The short overhangs, large 20-inch wheels, and a distinctive two-tone paint scheme extending from the roof to the rear bumper contribute to its bold aesthetic. A notable touch is the full-width lighting at the rear, accompanied by an elegant illuminated logo and car name that add a touch of sophistication during vehicle opening and closing. In terms of technology, the C-HR offers a welcoming sequence of lights when the driver approaches, even without a physical key, as the phone can perform this function. Advanced features include the vehicle’s ability to detect the driver, automatically adjusting preferences such as seat position, digital instrument display, and screen layout. This thoughtful approach to customization enhances the onboard experience, further complemented by automated parking and remote parking capabilities, allowing control even when outside the SUV. The interior is a realm of indulgence, with ambient lighting playing a pivotal role. Providing a palette of 64 colors for customization based on mood, Toyota has introduced a system that adjusts lighting automatically depending on the time of day, creating a seamless transition from vibrant tones in the morning to softer hues in the evening. Despite a slight reduction in length (from 4.39 m to 4.36 m), the C-HR maintains a 2.64 m wheelbase, effectively addressing concerns about rear legroom. The interior space is well-crafted, featuring comfortable front seats with a central console housing the gear selector, driving modes, and an EV button. The overall quality impression is excellent, with attention drawn to the multimedia system available in either 8” or 12.3” screens, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
