Miami Heist Ends in Fatal FBI Shootout

After a series of bank robberies and murders in Miami in the mid-80s, the FBI begins an exhaustive 8-month investigation. The agents had no major clues or suspects, but they were determined to uncover the identity of the criminals raging in the area.
On April 11, 1986, officers spotted the vehicle used in the bank robberies while on patrol.
A bloody confrontation ensued the attempted arrest of the two passengers. After the shootout, the two suspects and two officers were dead. Five other officers were seriously injured.
