In one of the film’s earliest and most intense action sequences, Okoye and Shuri are tasked with protecting a young scientist named Riri Williams, whose invention has drawn the attention of a mysterious underwater civilization. As they attempt to escort Riri to safety, the trio approaches a fog-shrouded bridge — only to find it’s an ambush.

Waiting in the mist are warriors from Talokan, the hidden kingdom beneath the sea. Leading them is the formidable Attuma, a hulking, blue-skinned warrior whose strength and combat skills rival even Wakanda’s finest.

Despite her elite training as the General of the Dora Milaje, Okoye finds herself outmatched for the first time in years. The duel between her and Attuma is fierce and beautifully choreographed — a clash of blades, grit, and pride. But the Talokan warriors fight with brutal precision and supernatural endurance.

As Okoye is eventually overwhelmed and thrown from the bridge, Shuri and Riri are captured, taken below the surface to meet the enigmatic king of Talokan: Namor.

This scene sets the tone for the film’s central conflict — revealing the terrifying power of a hidden empire and the vulnerability even Wakanda must face.
