Though In The Video at 07:57 It Is Stated That "in 2016, Sanborn met Alice Soyer, the French-born pianist, singer, composer, and visual artist at the Jazz à Vienne festival. They later got married." we acknowledge there was a terrible mistake in the script.

Unfortunately,  a somber Sunday afternoon of May 12th, 2024, marked the end of a music era of David Sanborn.
The legend departed after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer, as announced on his official social media platforms.
Despite being diagnosed in 2018, he continued to honor his commitments and perform at scheduled concerts until recently. Fans had eagerly anticipated more shows from him in the upcoming year of 2025, but sadly it came to an end.

Over a span of six decades, David Sanborn established himself as a pioneer known for his innovation, and unwavering passion for music, but his journey from the beginning was not without challenges.
