This was a class 66 travelling solo from Bardon Hill to Mantle Lane Tc GBRF to allow the unit to turn around and head back to Bardon hill to get to the front of the haulage waiting for it to then pull it all the way to Neasden in London, these closures were filmed within 2 minutes apart. I could hear the train approaching before the crossing lowered on the first closure which was rather surprising, just goes to show how much later the signaller lowers the crossing at night than in day time. Sorry about the bad audio at the start of the second closure as I said in the video, I had to film on my iPhone 11 Pro Max as my 7 Plus (My Filming Phone) died just after I filmed the first closure, and for some reason my personal phone has audio problems when I start recording for the first few seconds. As some of you may be aware, this crossing is due for a barrier renewal sometime in either March or April, not quite sure of the date, I thought I’d come by and film this crossing 1 last time in this state, seeing as this is my favourite crossing in the UK at the moment while it still has these barriers. This is the largest crossing in the UK with these barriers and the only crossing with 4 large Field & Grant barriers remaining. Also standing at this crossing in person and seeing for myself how big these barriers are, makes me wonder how they are going to fit 4 SPX Barriers in as these barriers are incredibly big and might be longer than the full length SPX barrier, my thoughts are, that they will have to fit the barriers differently and have them parallel instead of an angle like these ones.
