Step 1: Gather Your Materials
First things first, let's gather all the materials we'll need for this project:
- Fabric for the top (choose a soft, breathable fabric)
- Fabric for the shorts (you can mix and match patterns for a fun look)
- Elastic for the waistband
- Scissors, pins, sewing machine, and thread
- Measuring tape and ruler

Step 2: Measure and Cut the Fabrics
Measure your baby's chest, waist, and length for the top, and their waist and length for the shorts. Add seam allowances and cut out the pieces according to your measurements. Don't forget to cut out three layers of ruffles for the shorts – this will give them that adorable, flouncy look!

Step 3: Sew the Top
