USTAD JHANDE KHAN: Unique Singer, Songwriter & Musician of the Sub-Continent

The great musician Ustad Jhande Khan's real name was Mian Ghulam Mustafa. He belonged to Kotli Okhlan, a village in Jammu. They did Born in 1866 in the house of Mian Abdul Samad, a new Muslim landowner of the nation. Until the age of twelve, he continued to receive religious education at home, according to tradition. Syed Mir Qudrat Ali Hyderabadi was a music supporter of this company. By making contact with him, Jhande Khan became his student and after learning to play the harmonium, he became a Baja master in an infrared company. He mastered the art and then made Bombay his home where he acquired music from the Bhandi Bazaar family of musicians Chhajjo Khan, Ustad Nazir Khan Muradabadi and Khadim Hussain Khan. After mastering the science of music, he became associated with various theatre companies and understood the art in such a way that he began to create new things in it. After the end of stage and theatre, Ustad Jhande Khan turned his attention to film music and more than thirty films like Devi Deviani in 1931, Radha Rani in 1932, Veer Babruvan in 1934, Prabhuka Pyaar in 1936 and Emperor Akbar in 1943. He spent his last year there and met Khaliq Haqiqi on October 11, 1952, in Gujranwala.
