ECLIPSE, is the instrumental - ethnic version of Yannis Karalis' Greek song TIPOTA performed by Christos Dantis (album TAMA - BMG 1995). On July1997, Yannis Karalis released the instrumental version of TIPOTA, titled ECLIPSE, for his ethnic album ODYSSEY - FM RECORDS - International Release.
On December 20, 1998, the recording sound of the original composition ECLIPSE was illegally lifted (COPY/PASTE) by the Turkish record label PolyGram Karma Music, without any consent of the composer ! With the inclusion of lyrics and vocals by Sezen Aksu, the composition and the original instr. recording ECLIPSE, was COPIED in its entirety and transformed into the Turkish song Adi Bende Sakli. This imitation - clone song, nevertheless was the title track of the album and major commercial success (million units sold) without crediting and never mentioning the song’s original composer Yannis Karalis!
In 2013 the Turkish Court judged in favor of the composer Yannis Karalis and punished the defendants who appealed against the decision. Now some 17 years later, we still expect the Higher Court's final decision on this unprecedented copyright infringement case..

To 1995 o Γιάννης Καραλής συνέθεσε το τραγούδι ΤΙΠΟΤΑ, για το αλμπουμ με τον Χρήστο Δάντη "ΤΑΜΑ". Το 1997 το διαμόρφωσε σε ορχηστρικό (ethnic) κομμάτι με τίτλο "ECLIPSE", για το αλμπουμ ODYSSEY που κυκλοφόρησε διεθνώς. Ξεπερνώντας τα όρια της θρασύτητας και χωρίς την άδειά του συνθέτη και την αναφορά του ονόματός του, η σύνθεσή του Γιάννη Καραλή ECLIPSE, αντιγράφτηκε (copy/paste ηχογραφήματος) εξ ολοκλήρου από τηv PolyGram Karma Music και με προσθήκη και μόνο στίχων, μετετράπη παρανόμως στο τούρκικο πασίγνωστο τραγούδι "ADI BENDE SAKLI" με τραγουδίστρια τη SEZEN AKSU, το οποίο πούλησε εκατομμύρια CDs. Μετά από χρόνια, το Τούρκικο δικαστήρια δικαίωσε τον συνθέτη Γιάννη Καραλή και καταδίκασε τους παραβάτες σε αποζημίωση. Αυτοί άσκησαν έφεση.. και σήμερα 17 χρόνια μετά, η υπόθεση συνεχίζεται και αναμένεται η τελική απόφαση του Ανωτάτου Δικαστηρίου... ΖΗΣΕ ΜΑΗ ΜΟΥ...
