The group 'The Ritchie Family' was created by Jacques Morali (he also formed the Village People). Their name was given by producer Richard (Richie) Rome (who also worked together with The Three Degrees on some of their albums). The Ritchie Family had their breakthru with 'The best disco in town' in 1976. The song 'American generation' gave them another big hit. Here's my extended version + edited video clip (which I found on youtube). No copyright infringement intended.
