Yellowstone, the oldest National Park on earth: famous for its diverse wildlife and a huge magma chamber that characterises its distinctive landscapes. The National Park in the west of the United States reminds us of the importance of protected areas - and at the same time impressively demonstrates that wilderness doesn't know no limits. Bison and wolves, almost wiped out and lost, have luckily returned to this area. But wild animals want to migrate, further north than ever before, as the earth's climate changes. Yellowstone has ideas on how to handle this. For a year, a team traveled to the Rocky Mountains and accompanied rangers, explorers and adventurers in their incredible daily lives, which are usually hidden from visitors. It is an excursion to one of the most beautiful and wildest areas on earth between deep -snow and Indian summer.
