Interface review: Bosch Home professional

Bosch home professional is a bit different in form than their other series, but similar in function. Unfortunately it also suffers similar interaction inconsistencies as the other, simpler models.

LCD display featured on this machine is bright and clear. Since it is not touch screen the controls around the screen still need to be mapped to buttons. It seems that designers tried to stuff too many features into the product making choices less clear and the whole product overwhelmingly complex. The "+" symbol opens additional menu which is really badly design and confusing.
Setting core functions (temperateure, speed and timer) is pretty straight forward, but the rest of the interfaces are not.

Additionally, buttons are labelled with icons that are at times inconsistent with mappings on the screen. While touch-buttons give good sound feedback, the metal-shine plastic feels a bit cheap.

Features like "SpeedPerfect" and iDOS are not clearly presented and logically included into the product.
