The workshop objectives are to: introduce the fundamental operating principles of rapid response and error prevention for point-of-care (POC); assess and reformulate POC technologies in the United States disaster caches, thereby facilitating other countries; explain the significance of limit of detection (LOD), the 99th percentile of normals, and the 10% coefficient of variation (CV) for cardiac troponin I (cTnI) testing; position POC correctly when in challenging settings; and develop an enduring guidelines and policy framework for the future in order to accelerate global harmonization.
