चिकन विंडालू | Goan Chicken Vindaloo recipe | Chef Ashish Kumar

The dish's origins are in the Portuguese dish carne de vinha d'alhos, which translates to "wine and garlic". Portuguese explorers brought an early version of the dish to Goa in the 15th century. In India, it was adapted to Indian tastes using local spices and ingredients. Vinegar was used instead of wine, and turmeric, chili, garam masala, and other Indian spices were added to make it spicy. In Goa, the dish was primarily made with pork, but later it was also prepared with chicken, mutton, and other types of meat.
