Marco Goecke wordt wel de meest originele choreograaf van de 21ste eeuw en één van de grootste dansvernieuwers van dit moment genoemd. De Duitse dansmaker is de meester van de duistere sfeer, suggestie, magie en absurdisme en weet het publiek bij elk nieuw ballet te verrassen. Nadat hij eerder als gastchoreograaf de werken Nichts (2008) en Garbo Laughs (2012) voor NDT creëerde, maakt hij nu zijn eerste ballet als 'associate choreographer' bij het gezelschap. Voor het stuk slaat hij de handen ineen met de Amerikaanse videokunstenaar Jason Akira.

Marco Goecke is one of the most original choreographers of the 21st century and one of today's innovators of modern dance. Not only is he the master of dark atmosphere, suggestion, magic and absurdism, he is a master of surprise as well, amazing audiences with every new ballet. After having created Nichts (2008) and Garbo Laughs (2012) for NDT as a guest choreographer, he will now be making his first ballet as an associate choreographer for the company. For this piece, he will be collaborating with US video artist Jason Akira Somma.
