Ultrasounds required during pregnancy?
دوران حمل کتنے الٹرا ساؤنڈ ہونے چاہییں ؟
1. The first ultrasound should be done from 6 to 8 weeks of pregnancy.
at this stage doctors check gestational sac, fetal pole and fetal cardiac activity.
2. 13 to 14 weeks of pregnancy.
at this stage the doctor checks the organs of the baby and the growth of the baby on scan.
3. 18 to 22 weeks of pregnancy.
at this stage an anomaly scan is done to rule out any pathology in the baby.
for example meningocele, meningomyelocele & spina bifida can easily be detected at the stage.
4. 28 weeks of pregnancy.
at this stage doctors check how the placenta is growing, liquor around the baby and position of the baby.
5. 32 weeks of pregnancy.
at this stage doctors check placenta localisation and the growth of the baby.
6. 36 weeks of pregnancy.
this is a very important ultrasound hair doctors decide about the mode of the delivery whether it is normal delivery or lower segment cesarean section.
A placental localisation, presentation of the baby and biophysical profile is checked at this stage.
