In Rebaring, the steel rods inserts in concrete when,

1. There is change in construction design or there is some extension of the present structure.
2. When Steel rod as per drawing has been not installed then rebaring is used to install the steel rods.

Rebaring technique is a method for proper fabrication and placement of steel bars as per the design and drawings for RCC works.

In rebaring, bars passes through three processes :
1. Cutting
2. Bending
3. Tying
Steel bars must be cut into required size. The design engineer shows the details about the bars bending on which the workers proceed the work.

Rebaring Process:
Four operations are carried out in Rebaring:
1. Drilling
2.Cleaning
3. Use of Chemical
4. Punching of steel rods

Mostly Hilti chemicals are used for rebaring are:
Hilti Re-500
Hilti Hy-150

Safety:
To prevent injury, the bars that are extended for later work must be covered with any plastic caps or called as mushroom caps.
