Volvo S60 Front Door Speaker Replacment

I show you how to replace the door speaker in a 2009 Volvo S60. This same process should apply to at least 2002-2009, maybe more. Hopefully it will give you the information and confidence you need to give it a try and replace your own. Please feel free to leave comments to let me know how your experience goes.

I could have definitely done this with different tools, but the idea was to show people how to do it without having to purchase a bunch of special tools. A rivet gun is a prime example. I do a lot of my own work on things and a rivet gun has been on my list of things to get for years and years now and I still don't have one. It would have been useful to reattach the speaker housing to the door. A smaller drill bit might have made less mess drilling the rivet out, but they are easier to break. For someone not as familiar with tools, the bigger bit works better, and even with minor damage, this has been in place and working perfectly for over 2 years now (as of Jan 2020). People with better experience and tools can always choose their own options for removal or reattachment options. For those people, this will only really be useful to see how to get the door panel off and what is behind it.
