Bending the laws of causality is a tricky thing. Have an Orologia showcase.

This element took the most fine-tuning out of any solo I've done so far. I'd been messing around with Yamato at first until a friend reminded me that Orologia's full-heal passive is regained if you revive him, and thanks to the Death Arcarum weapon, you could repeat this over and over. This sounded like a pretty good idea considering how absolutely brutal I was getting hammered by Phase 2. It's not quite as simple as full-heal, sack Oro, and repeat, of course.

Phase 1 is pretty simple: apply permanent buffs, cancel the 10-debuff omen, then kill Veight and hoard green potions. Cancelling the 60-hit/skill dmg Arcadia omens in Phase 1 mostly comes down to luck that largely involves rolling (and cancelling) the debuff omen first, which didn't happen here. Not that you need to cancel anything but the debuff omen. Trying to kill Veight after he applies his permanent buff to bring in Orologia can also be tricky because of Autorevive.

Phase 2 is pretty hard. Out of every element I've done, Dark takes the most oncoming damage of them all. It took a lot of trial and error to figure out what a good threshold was to leave someone at to trigger Orologia's full-heal and what HP% would outright get them killed by autos. Speaking of which, Oro is even more vulnerable: every time he revives, he won't have any buffs, and will die twice as fast if you don't pay attention. (Fediel dying wasn't intended. Usually I bring Revive in case I accidentally let Orologia die without Autorevive, but it worked out here. )

Without 000, there's pretty much no way for this team to cancel the 12-skills omen while just trying to survive, and the plain damage omen stops you from using Bubs until you see it display. Cancelling the 6-CA omen makes things a lot easier if you're not sure if Oro (or anyone else) will survive, but sometimes you're stupid (like me) and forget about Shorted and miss your chance. It might have been a blessing in disguise, this run, since I ended up playing more aggressively and getting a faster time than any other clear I did in trial mode.

Phase 3 was the biggest challenge. I was running Nier instead of Ilsa for a while, and would always fail at the last turn, before Genesis Nova. Even with sacrificing HalMal to bring in Ilsa (which you can do once you clear the plain omen, but is risky to do early because of the 5-turn echoes), it's still not a sure bet: you can get unlucky and all of a sudden Orologia will refuse to die, preventing Ilsa from triggering the full skill reset that lets her push me over the finish line. It turns out NOT using Orologia's S3 to cancel the 6CA omen and throwing it at Ilsa for more DPS makes a huge difference. At the cost of making the run a lot riskier.

Apparently Yukata DLF makes Dark solos a lot less of a headache. Guess who I don't have. 5/6 solos down, and only Earth to go.
