Emily Bird is a writer with a PhD in statistics. She currently lives in Ecoburbia, an 'alternative urban infill development, housing cooperative, community garden, and model sustainable house' in the Fremantle area of Western Australia. Emily has a passion for converting people with a negative perception of statistics into lovers and appreciators of the statistical way of thinking. Emily sees statistical foundations in everything from selfies to cuddly goats. She will show you that statistics is interesting, intuitive, and has the power to clarify the lens through which you view the world.
