We discuss the problems faced by immigrants in Portugal after the closure of the immigration system. There have been joint police and special forces operations in the Martimez area of Lisbon, targeting the Asian community and issues like spitting, immigration affairs, and the mafia. Those without legal documents may face problems and be given 'countryouts'. For those who couldn't file their paperwork before the system closed, a special program will be launched to provide legal status.
