In honor of Mother's Day, I decided to hike a trail I have seen many times but never walked - the Euclid Ave Historic Trail. I started at the Madonna of the Trail off Foothill and Euclid and walked all the way to the top of Euclid where the Fire Station is, some churches, and over to the overlook of the valley along the street. I was trying to decide what else I wanted to do and since I have never hiked up to Frankish Peak I decided to do that and hike up the ridge just off the street. I started walking at around 1:00 p.m. and made it to what I believe is Frankish Peak by 4:00 p.m. Then I ran down the entire way to Foothill Ave and arrived at my car at 5:30. For all you Madonna's of the Trail - Happy Mother's Day!!!
