In a battle of championship caliber heavyweights loaded with highly ranked recruits, #1 Colquitt County rallied to defeat #2 Grayson 26-14. The Rams took a 14-3 lead on Clemson recruit Phil Mafah’s 31-yard TD run, but Montavious Pender returned the kickoff 98-yards to make it 14-10. Colquitt took the lead for good late in the 3rd quarter when a 50-yard pass set up a Ty Leggett 2-yard run. Leggett’s 43-yard touchdown run produced the final margin. It was the sixth straight win for Colquitt County over a ranked opponent.
